Reading Time: 2 minutes

Vero Chicago Pizza is expanding to Maricopa, AZ with a new location set to open in early June at 19975 N. John Wayne Pkwy., Ste. 110. This will be their seventh location, joining the trend of other restaurants moving into the area. The new spot will offer carry-out and delivery services only, due to space constraints. The grand opening is scheduled for June 3, with a preview during a soft opening in late May. The menu includes Chicago-style pizzas named after famous city landmarks, alongside traditional pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and wings.

Expanding Flavors to Maricopa

Exciting news for pizza fans in Maricopa! Vero Chicago Pizza, originally from Queen Creek, is bringing its famous Chicago-style pizzas to your neighborhood. This new location will be nestled at 19975 N. John Wayne Pkwy., Ste. 110, marking it as the seventh branch in their growing chain.

Alex Mejia, the Director of Operations, shared that the decision to open in Maricopa was influenced by the city’s growth and the increasing number of restaurants establishing there. “We wanted to be part of that experience and see how Maricopa treats Vero,” Mejia expressed. Their goal is to be a part of the bustling food scene in this expanding city.

The site for the new Vero outlet was chosen because it was one of the few available spaces suitable for their needs, previously home to Dell’s Pizza. However, the new Vero location will be focused solely on carry-out and delivery services, as the space does not allow for a dining area.

A Taste of Chicago in Arizona

As for what to expect food-wise, Vero Chicago Pizza has a menu that’s sure to excite any pizza fan. Each of their 18 specialty pizzas is a nod to famous Chicago landmarks, like the Wrigley Field pizza, which comes loaded with sausage, Italian beef, green peppers, and onions. It’s not just about pizza, though; the menu also features hearty pastas, mouthwatering sandwiches, and crispy wings.

One standout item is the Italian beef sandwich, a personal favorite of Mejia. It’s packed with roast beef slices in French bread, served with a rich, beefy au jus. “For me, it’s the beef juice,” Mejia said, highlighting his love for the flavorful, herb-infused broth that complements the sandwich.

The anticipation builds as Vero gears up for its grand opening on June 3, following a soft opening phase starting in late May. During the soft opening, the focus will be on smoothing out delivery operations through services like DoorDash and Uber Eats.

For those eager to try out Vero’s offerings, mark your calendars for the early June launch. It’s a perfect chance to bring a taste of Chicago right to your doorstep in Maricopa.
