Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe

Unlock the secret to the perfect pizza with this easy, homemade, no-cook tomato pizza sauce. It’s full of vibrant tomato flavor, just like what you’d find at a top Italian pizzeria!

Ingredients

  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed or finely grated
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  • Blend Ingredients: Put the crushed tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, sea salt, and dried oregano in a blender or food processor. Pulse until everything is well combined and smooth.
  • Chill: Cover and put the sauce in the fridge. Let it sit for at least 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. It’s even better the next day!
  • Store: You can keep this sauce in the fridge in a mason jar or an airtight container. It stays good for 1 to 2 weeks. If you want, you can also freeze it. Just pour it into freezer bags, get rid of the extra air, and lay them flat in the freezer.

Notes

Resist the urge to add more salt right away. After the sauce sits, the flavors will come together perfectly.
Remember, the toppings you add to your pizza will also add saltiness.
