Timber Pizza Expands to Annapolis

Timber Pizza Co., known for its crispy “Neapolitan-ish” pies, is set to open a new location in Annapolis, Maryland, this summer. Co-founder Chris Brady shared that the team is excited to bring their wood-fired pizzas to Annapolis by August. The new pizzeria will be located at 192 West Street, transforming a former art gallery into a space similar to their original Petworth location.

Brady, who started Timber Pizza with Andrew Dana in 2016, says Annapolis has always been close to his heart. He moved back to the town during the COVID-19 pandemic. The menu in Annapolis will largely mirror the D.C. location, offering a rotating list of 12-inch pies with unique toppings like cured chorizo, sous vide chicken thigh, and roasted sweet potatoes.

A Slice of D.C. in Maryland

Timber Pizza’s Annapolis spot will feature all the classics, including the popular Pretty in Pepperoni and Bentley pies. Empanadas and seasonal salads will also be on the menu. The new location will have a small dining room with about 20 seats, a copper-topped bar, and reclaimed wood furniture.

The centerpiece of the restaurant will be a forest-green Marra Forni oven with bright orange lettering. Brady and his team have been looking for an Annapolis location for some time. When the art gallery on West Street became available, it was the perfect fit for Timber Pizza’s neighborhood vibe.

Local Influence and Community

The Annapolis location will also incorporate local ingredients and showcase Maryland spirits and breweries at the bar. Brady has strong ties to Annapolis and is excited to be part of the local community. The new Timber Pizza will be open daily for dinner and for lunch on Fridays to Sundays.

Timber Pizza Co. has grown significantly since its humble beginnings as a farmers market stand with a pizza oven and a ’67 Chevy pickup truck. With successful locations in D.C., including an airport offshoot and a spot in Ballston’s Quarter Market food hall, the Annapolis opening marks their first real sophomore location. The Timber team is ready to bring their famous wood-fired pizzas to a new audience in Maryland.
